Most people who learn guitar don't know how to play it this way after receiving the six line sheet music, which will broaden their knowledge!
Tip 1: Play the main melody first
The main melody is like a string that connects a finger tune in its entirety, creating a beautiful and melodious piece of music. Therefore, before receiving a six line sheet composed by someone else, it is important to identify the main melody note, its position, what note it is, whether it is a fourth, eighth, or sixteenth note, in order to determine the length of the note. This one is like building a house. First, set up the entire framework. Otherwise, just follow the six line chart and play down one section at a time. I don't know what to play, and it tastes like plain water.
Tip 2: Play strong beats again
After familiarizing oneself with the position and length of the main melody notes, the second step is to determine which notes are on a strong beat, which notes are on a weak strong beat, and which notes are on a weak beat. This way, when playing, the right hand plucks the strings with different force, creating a sense of fluctuation and expressing different emotions and sentiments.
Tip 3: Fingering is crucial
Nowadays, many online or book six line scores basically do not indicate finger movements. As beginners, they can only play a piece of music based on their own imagination. In fact, to play a good piece of music, whether it is folk or classical music, finger movements are really important. If you master finger movements, you can play a piece of music smoothly. If there is no clear finger movement, there may be dragging or disconnection in the middle, and the rhythm may be a bit chaotic. So, if there are finger markers or video guidance, it would be great, otherwise it's important to see how the master plays and which notes are converted using which fingers. This way, you can achieve twice the result with half the effort.
